I would just like to say an enormous well done to all the contestants who both entered WCMGT and those who took part in the final today. It was absolutely amazing to see so much talent, enthusiasm and respect in one school hall. I know Mr Read and Mrs Bradley are so proud of you all. I am jetting back off to the States now but hope to be invited back to be a judge next year! Have a great half term holiday ready for more learning in March!
We currently have 2 vacancies for Parent Governors. This week you should have received a letter from school outlining the role of a Parent Governor. As a parent your view is essential to us, you could join the Governing Body and be part of a team to shape the future of WCM. Being a Governor is exciting but also requires commitment to attend training and meetings on a termly basis. If you think you may be interested why not call in and chat to Ian Read, Claire Bradley or a member of the Office team. You could also talk to our other parent governors, we can put you in contact with them. Call in and talk to us and help make WCM even better for our families and children.
We are having a big focus of how children present their learning in books at school. By encouraging children to take care of their presentation, we want all our children to have a real sense of pride in their learning and the work they produce. A book really does tell a learning story. Why not ask your child to have a look in their books when you take them to class and see if you can spot where they have taken pride in their learning.
Just look at this book…
