Our Special Jack!

As many of you will be aware, Jack Marshall, one of our Y6 pupils, was involved in a serious road traffic accident on Sunday evening. The car that he was travelling in with his Grandma was hit side on by an alleged drink driver. He had to be cut out of the car and airlifted to hospital.

His injuries are extremely severe, although thankfully there was no significant spinal or head injury. He is currently stable in intensive care and has started to see some family visitors.

We have let children in school know of the accident, particularly Jack’s class mates as many across school know Jack as a really friendly, polite and lovely boy.

We have been approached by parents who are keen to do some fundraising at our Summer Carnival with a view to doing something special for Jack’s family.

If you would like to give a donation to this you can do so at the Summer Carnival or speak to the parents on Jack’s stall if you are able to be involved.

Thank you for all your support, we will keep you updated with his progress.

Summer Carnival

Our Summer Carnival this year will be on Wednesday 13th July 2.00pm – 4.00pm. We have been blessed with lovely weather in the past and we have our fingers crossed again for this year. As with most things we do, this event will only be successful with the help and support of our community.

How You Can Help:

  • If you are having a clear out, please donate any toys, games or books for us to sell on our Nearly New Toy Stall. These must be in excellent condition – no jumble please! Bring to school from Monday 11th
  • Cakes and buns – please do some baking for us to sell on our Cake Stall. Bring to school on the morning of the Carnival.
  • We also need prizes for our raffle and tombola stall. If you have any unwanted gifts, or non-perishable food items, tins etc. bring these to school from Monday 11th

We do need helpers on the day from 12 noon to prepare and set up, and to help with stalls. If you can spare some time to help us on the day, please see Liz Graham in the School Office.
