This year we will be celebrating World Book Day in school on Thursday 1st March and to help get into the spirit of characters and stories children (and staff) can come to school dressed up. Please don’t think you need to go out and buy an outfit, there are lots of ways you can join in without the expense. Take a look on the official website for ideas:
You should have received your letter for Parents’ Evening this week. Please let your child’s class teacher know when you can attend so they can book you a 10 minute slot of time to discuss learning. If your child has a Special Educational Need you will have the option of choosing a slot with the class teacher and the SENCo, Corina Antcliff. Please return the sheets as soon as possible to get a time that suits you and your family. The dates are:
Tuesday 23rd January 3.30 – 5.30
Wednesday 24th January 3.30 – 7.00
Welcome back to school after the Christmas holidays. We hope you had a lovely time together with your families. This term sees the beginning of a new year at Watercliffe Meadow and an important term for learning. Now the excitement of Christmas has passed we can use this term to focus in on learning and help all our children make the best progress they possibly can. Together we can help your child reach for the stars and achieve to the best of their ability!
You should have received your child’s half termly newsletter telling you what is happening in their class and ways you can support learning at home. If you need any guidance on ways to support your child, please see their teacher.
