We are again holding our Christmas Bake-Off competition on the day of our Christmas
Fayre – Tuesday 4thDecember and again this year we will be having a category for adults. Everyone can bring in a cake (or buns) with the theme of “Christmas”. These will be judged by a panel of baking ‘experts’, headed by our very own Mary Berry – Mrs Senior. There will be prizes for the best cake/buns decorated with the theme of Christmas for each year group and a special prize for the adults category too! Our judging panel will then choose the best overall bake.
After the judging has been completed we would like to sell the baking at the Tuck Shop at social time, and also at the Christmas Fayre in the afternoon, and this will help to raise money for our School Fund.
Please bring your baking creations to the Studio on the morning of the Christmas Fayre – Tuesday 4thDecember. Get baking and good luck!
Just a reminder that Training Day 2 is next Wednesday,28thNovember. School will be closed to children.
Anti Bullying Week
On Monday we kicked off Anti Bullying week by wearing odd socks to celebrate how unique we all are as individuals. As part of Anti Bullying week, children across school have been discussing what bullying is, what it means to be a good friend and how we can be respectful to others around school. In Y2 we have had a lovely Monday afternoon filled with singing, Circle Time and creating a kindness wall to show how respectful we can be to one another.
Anti Bullying Week
Next week is anti-bullying week. The theme for this year is ‘Choose Respect.’ You can visit the anti bullying alliance website for more information. Throughout the week we will be looking at how we can choose respect over bullying. We will start the week with ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Monday 12thNovemberto celebrate us all being unique. Part of the learning that week will be to do with cyber bullying and staying safe online.
