We would like to say an enormous WELL DONE to our Y6 children for the fantastic effort they have put in this week and across the year. They have had 6 tests this week and performed to the best of their abilities, they should ‘feel proud’! It has been a pleasure being with them this week and watching their focus and effort.
Next week is a very important week for our Y6 children. They have their compulsory SATs tests, which they have been working towards all year. We wish our children lots of luck and know that they will do their very best to show themselves, us and their families what they are capable of. If your child is in Y6 please help them to feel as ready as possible by having plenty of rest and a nice relaxing weekend.
Thank you for your continued support with your children and their learning. They have done fantastically well this year and we really want them to enjoy showing what they can do!
This week has been Community Week in school. Our focus has been ‘The World Is Ours” We wanted to build on the protest we did about funding in schools and so encouraged the older children to investigate an issue that they felt was important to them. The younger children went on a walk round the local area and looked for things they liked and things they would like to improve about Shirecliffe.
Each class will also vote for a girl and boy good citizen who will be presented with a poppy or cornflower badge in assembly tomorrow.
